I hope this story inspires you to move ahead with a project that compels you to birth it. Maybe it’s writing a book. Maybe it’s getting an advanced college degree. Maybe it’s landing a truly fulfilling job. Maybe it’s developing your company. Maybe it’s developing a special project at work.
Whatever it is … do you dream of doing something much bigger than ever before? Is it outside of your comfort zone?
Do you say to yourself, “I really want to do this.”
The next inner voice retorts, “Who do you think you are? You can’t do that. You’re not smart enough. You don’t have enough money or resources. What will people say if … ?”
Well, that’s how I felt for 20 years while I struggled to write my book:
The Gifted Highly Sensitive Introvert:
Wisdom for Emotional Healing and Expressing Your Radiant Authentic Self
I knew that I wanted to reach thousands of more people to help them improve their lives. I wanted to play a bigger part in uplifting the quality of life on our planet.
I started and stopped writing several times. The words didn’t flow well. I couldn’t figure out how to position my knowledge to captivate readers’ attention. I was so frustrated.
But the dream of writing my book never died. I kept taking continuing education courses. I upgraded my self-talk. My confidence grew over time.
The Holy Spirit’s directive resounded like a megaphone in December 2016. “Quit pussy-footing around. It’s time to birth this book. I mean it. No more procrastination. Make the time. I’ll help you.” That mandate ushered in a whole new era of my life.
Almost every spare moment in 2017 and 2018 was spent writing and editing.
The Holy Spirit designed this project to help highly sensitive people who struggle with relationships and self-esteem so they can finally flourish according to the God-given blueprint designed for them before their birth. Being a highly sensitive person is not a mistake. It’s a gift to society.
Amazon Review: I wish I could leave 1,000 stars! I’m FINALLY seeing how beautifully God truly made me and that I’m not weird. This, “highly sensitive introvert empath” is on point! I am so grateful to Benita for putting the pen to paper that we all may be set free. As I read this book, I keep thinking about how I’d love to sit down and have a cup of tea with her on the back porch of the home I hope to have one day. Oh to be in the presence of another human who understands like she does, so refreshing! – A. Hernandez

This book is not just for highly sensitive introverts. Two out of 10 people are highly sensitive. You have highly sensitive family members or you work with them. Read this review from a non-highly sensitive man.
I recognized challenges that I, or others near and dear to me, had faced. Some of the lessons left me with the sense “this is me” while in many others I saw friends and family. This is a valuable and interesting read for both those who feel they are highly sensitive introverts and those who live or work with individuals in this category. – Richard P.
Please join me in celebrating the one-year birthday of my book, The Gifted Highly Sensitive Introvert.
1. The ebook launched on October 13, 2018. It’s sold 3,302 copies.
2. The paperback launched on November 18, 2018. It’s sold 965 copies.
3. The audiobook (I narrated) launched on August 8, 2019. It’s sold 175 in 2 months.
4. The Spanish version launched on March 18, 2019. It’s sold 5 copies.
That’s 4,447 books sold in the first year. Amazing!
The book’s success wouldn’t be happening without people like you. I’m so glad you found me, and I’m so glad that I can help you.
My Amazon ad manager, Brian Berni, says that many authors would love to experience such results. He says it’s rare. Many books don’t sell more than 350 copies in a year.
The eBook version of The Gifted Highly Sensitive Introvert: Wisdom for Emotional Healing and Expressing Your Radiant Authentic Self continues to be a bestseller. Yesterday it was a bestseller in four categories.
The paperback version received two bestseller banners this week. The audiobook launched with #1 New Release banners.
People have found my book in some pretty amazing ways. For example, Andrea Rodriguez from Mexico was researching Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and she found my book. Tell me how this happens! It’s the Holy Spirit at work.
Andrea’s review: I’m truly thankful to Benita for having the courage to put in words all her experiences and thoughts, which most of us as Highly Sensitive people have. This book will give you a way to comprehend your true self like never before. The experiences, quotes, thoughts and reflections have something special that makes you feel identified with them. I highly recommend this book for all of us that can’t quiet our critical voice, our high-achiever self. We can be so empathic and compassionate with other people rather than ourselves. – Andrea R.
As a way to say thank you for your love and support, I’d like to give you a couple of gifts.
Andrea Rodriguez interviewed me in this one-hour podcast about my book. The free recording will be available for one month, so please listen to it soon.
