One-year Book Birthday Celebration

I hope this story inspires you to move ahead with a project that compels you to birth it. Maybe it’s writing a book. Maybe it’s getting an advanced college degree. Maybe it’s landing a truly fulfilling job. Maybe it’s developing your company. Maybe it’s developing a special project at work.

Whatever it is … do you dream of doing something much bigger than ever before? Is it outside of your comfort zone?

The next inner voice retorts, “Who do you think you are? You can’t do that. You’re not smart enough. You don’t have enough money or resources. What will people say if … ?”

Well, that’s how I felt for 20 years while I struggled to write my book:

I knew that I wanted to reach thousands of more people to help them improve their lives. I wanted to play a bigger part in uplifting the quality of life on our planet.

I started and stopped writing several times. The words didn’t flow well. I couldn’t figure out how to position my knowledge to captivate readers’ attention. I was so frustrated.

But the dream of writing my book never died. I kept taking continuing education courses. I upgraded my self-talk. My confidence grew over time.

The Holy Spirit’s directive resounded like a megaphone in December 2016. “Quit pussy-footing around. It’s time to birth this book. I mean it. No more procrastination. Make the time. I’ll help you.” That mandate ushered in a whole new era of my life.

Almost every spare moment in 2017 and 2018 was spent writing and editing.

The Holy Spirit designed this project to help highly sensitive people who struggle with relationships and self-esteem so they can finally flourish according to the God-given blueprint designed for them before their birth. Being a highly sensitive person is not a mistake. It’s a gift to society.

4. The Spanish version launched on March 18, 2019. It’s sold 5 copies.

That’s 4,447 books sold in the first year. Amazing!

My Amazon ad manager, Brian Berni, says that many authors would love to experience such results. He says it’s rare. Many books don’t sell more than 350 copies in a year.

The paperback version received two bestseller banners this week. The audiobook launched with #1 New Release banners.
